CFCU is Raising Money for Habitat for Humanity Women Build!

 

 

 

This month, Christian Financial Credit Union is raising money for Habitat for Humanity - Women Build. Women Build is a department of Habitat for Humanity International that promotes the involvement of women in Habitat home construction. The first women-only "build" (Charlotte, North Carolina; 1991) garnered so much support and enthusiasm that word spread quickly and soon many other "women builds" followed. In 1998, Habitat for Humanity International officially created the Women Build Department.

Macomb County's Women Build initiative is steadily growing and gaining steam. Behind-the-scenes work is being accomplished daily as they move in the direction of undertaking annual Women Build projects. Helping to eliminate substandard housing in Macomb County neighborhoods is their #1 goal.
